Our Sustainability Approach
At Öksüt Mining, we believe that responsible mining is key not only to profitable growth but also to creating long-term value. This approach is shaped by the shared vision of all our teams, from our board of directors to our field workers, and guides every aspect of our operations.

We are committed to the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Among these goals, gender equality, access to clean water, decent work, and the conservation of terrestrial life are our top priorities.
Our vision is to foster a culture of excellence and responsibility while creating sustainable value for our stakeholders.
We recognize that the areas of Environment, Social Impact, and Governance (ESG) have a lasting impact on the future of our company. Therefore, we develop projects that benefit, raise awareness, and improve the quality of life for all our stakeholders. We operate with the highest standards in areas such as resource conservation, energy efficiency, combating climate change, supporting biodiversity, and waste management.
We also organize environmental and sustainability-themed events for children to cultivate responsible individuals for the future. Because we believe that awareness gained at a young age builds a stronger society tomorrow.
Our Sustainability Goals

Healthy Individuals
We are strengthening our safety culture with a zero-accident approach. Through our “Safety at Work | Safety at Home” program, Global Health and Safety Policy, and Joint Health and Safety Committee, we aim to ensure our employees return home safely at the end of each shift. We also run health and wellness programs to support their physical and mental health.

Decent Work and Economic Growth
We foster a culture of respect, innovation, and creative decision-making by promoting employee engagement. We create economic resilience through local employment and supply chains; and we build long-term value in collaboration with local communities.

Terrestrial Life
Conserving biodiversity, restoring mining sites to their natural state, and regularly monitoring endangered species are central to our understanding of environmental responsibility.

Gender Equality
We are creating an inclusive and respectful workplace culture that celebrates diversity. We work to increase the representation of women at all levels and develop platforms to amplify women’s voices in the mining sector on a global scale. We also support entrepreneurship and community contribution through social projects that focus on women.

Responsible Consumption and Production
We regularly organize training sessions and implement safe disposal processes to manage waste and hazardous materials without harming the environment. We prioritize both employee safety and ecosystem health.

Partnership for the Goals
We engage in transparent communication with local communities and stakeholders, develop strategic partnerships, and create value through multi-stakeholder initiatives. Transparency and accountability are fundamental to all our processes.

Clean Water and Sanitation
We manage water resources effectively, going beyond regulatory compliance and implementing best practices in collaboration with stakeholders.

Climate Action
We are focused on reducing greenhouse gas emissions in all our operations. We support the transition to a low-carbon economy by increasing energy efficiency and implementing risk mitigation measures.

Responsible Gold Mining Principles (RGMPs)
The World Gold Council’s (WGC) Responsible Gold Mining Principles (RGMPs) provide a common framework for sustainability performance in the gold mining industry.

These principles define international best practices in environmental, social, and governance, taking into account the expectations of communities, governments, investors, and all stakeholders in the supply chain. We are committed to full compliance with these principles. Our operations are regularly assessed through independent assurance reviews, and our compliance with RGMP standards is confirmed. In this process, we adopt a proactive approach to identifying and managing sustainability risks.
Guided by these principles, we continue to operate with transparency, accountability, and sustainability best practices at every stage of our operations.
