Centerra Gold Inc. is a Canadian-based gold mining company headquartered in Toronto and is focused on operating, developing, exploring and acquiring gold and copper properties in North America, Türkiye, and other markets worldwide.
Centerra operates two mines: the Mount Milligan mine in British Columbia, Canada which produces gold and copper and the Öksüt mine in Türkiye which produces gold. The Company also owns the Kemess project located in the Toodoggone Region of British Columbia, Canada and the Goldfield Project in Nevada, United States.
Centerra also own and operates the Molybdenum Business Unit in the United States and Canada comprising of two pure molybdenum mines (Thompson Creek and Endako) and a molybdenum metallurgical facility (Langeloth). Thompson Creek is one of Centerra’s development projects and is located in Idaho, US. Construction and restart activities are currently on track, and first production is expected in mid-2027. Langeloth is Centerra’s roasting facility and is currently ramping up production of molybdenum concentrates so it can vertically integrate with Thompson Creek once its reaches full production. Endako, located in British Columbia is 75% owned by Centerra and is currently on care and maintenance.
